The Anderson Greenwood Series 5100 pilot-operated pressure-relief valve is designed for over-pressure protection of economizers in fossil-fired power plants.

The Anderson Greenwood Series 5100 pilot-operated pressure-relief valve is designed for over-pressure protection of economizers in fossil-fired power plants. The modulating-action, nonflowing, soft-seat valve meets stringent ASME Code Section I Requirements. The all-plastic soft seat and sealed valve operates as a nonflowing modulating pilot, requiring no component changes to handle alternating steam and water conditions.

Features and benefits include soft seats for premium tightness before and after relief cycles; increased system output; and reduced maintenance costs, as the resilient seats extend service life and eliminate costly and time-consuming metal seat lapping. The valve requires no elastomer seats or seal, which results in the ability to handle temperatures from –65 to 515°F (–54 to 268°C) and a set pressure range of 15 to 6,170 psig.
