A typical application finds steel-section properties including the polar moment of inertia about the centroid, moment of inertia about the X axis of the drawing origin, and principal moment of inertia (minimum). The program targets users of AutoCAD, IntelliCAD, or AutoCADcompatible software with AutoLisp capabilities. Users can, for example, calculate area properties of a steel section and import results back into the AutoCAD drawing using the provided AutoLISP script file. Users can also print results directly from the MassPlus window. The recent release supports exported 2D profiles from widely used 3D packages such as SolidWorks and Catia.
