4-MM Linear Servomotor

Oct. 26, 2006
A 4-mm linear servomotor, which weighs 9 gm and has strokes as long as 40 mm, is suitable for use in piezo-type applications.

The motor is quiet thanks to the absence of friction — the only mechanical contact section is the linear guide. Coreless construction eliminates cogging. The motor is suitable for high-precision positioning applications that need a 0.09-nm resolution. Durable construction lets it serve such harsh conditions as vacuums or underwater. The motor's design eliminates backlash.
