Linear Position Sensor

Nov. 3, 2005
The EP2 magnetostrictive position sensor can now accept automatic uploads of sensor-scaling factors as well as automatic calibration, simplifying system setup and maintenance.

A "Start/Stop" pulse output senses as many as four distinct positions along the same axis. The sensor includes a waveguide-sensing element, conditioning electronics for output position data, a protective metal-application housing, and an external position magnet. The machine-mountable sensor comes in 4 to 60-in. lengths.
