Food- Grade Actuators

Nov. 18, 2004
Linear actuators and brushless motors are now available with food-grade epoxy coatings and allstainless-steel construction.

This, along with IP65 sealing, makes them suitable for wash-down applications, food processing, or other applications with exposure to chemicals, which would require the elimination of fluid-power devices such as hydraulics and pneumatics. FT Series linear actuators use planetary roller-screw technology to provide stroke lengths to 8 ft and forces in excess of 40,000 lb. SLM and SLG Series rotary servomotors and integrated servo gearmotors mate with the FT Series actuator. SLG Series gearmotors come in frame sizes of 60, 90 and 115 mm with single and double reductions of 4:1, 5:1, 10:1, 16:1, 25:1. 40:1, 50:1, and 100:1. Output torque ranges from 340 to 2,900 lbf-in.
