Nov. 22, 2008
Temposonics R-Series EtherCAT sensor is based on industrial Ethernet technology and provides high-speed data transmission and communication.

Temposonics R-Series EtherCAT sensor is based on industrial Ethernet technology and provides high-speed data transmission and communication. The EtherCAT sensor uses one to five position magnets and can document position, velocity, acceleration, as well as customer-specific “smart” functions. Position resolution is to 1 μm, speed to 0.2 mm/sec, with a sensor update time of 100 μsec (independent of stroke). The sensor also includes a built-in nonlinearity correction option for position accuracy as low as ±0.02 mm. The IP67-rated sensors are available for in-cylinder operation with stroke lengths to 7.6 m; IP^% profile-style models mount to machine surfaces and offer strokes to 5 m.
