New Products: Long-Distance Prox Sensor

Nov. 22, 2008
The BOD 63M Time-of-flight laser sensor has been revamped with a shorter 200-mm dead zone, a second discrete output, and enhanced resolution of less than 1 mm.

The BOD 63M Time-of-flight laser sensor has been revamped with a shorter 200-mm dead zone, a second discrete output, and enhanced resolution of less than 1 mm. The high-precision Class II laser sensor has a sensing range of 6 m and can sense minute variations in targets up to almost 20 ft away.

Two independently adjustable setpoints create an on-off window, making the sensor useful in applications such as roll-diameter detection, where the outputs are set to alert operators to change the roll.
