Nov. 22, 2008
Utility software supplied with each module supports multiple operating systems including Windows 2000 and XP, WinCE 6.0, and Linux Kernel 2.6, eliminating manual programming of the modules. Both modules include TX/RX LED indicators, as well as shared IRQ settings for each of their ports.

The PCM-3614I (four-port) and PCM- 3641I (eight-port) connects PCI-104- based systems to other devices via RS-232/422/485 with automatic RS- 485 data-flow control. The ports follow standard PC-port assignments that are CO M1, CO M2, CO M3, and CO M4 compatible. The device draws 450 mA from the 5-Vdc supply, handles communication speeds from 50 bps through 460.3 kbps, and operates over a temperature range of 0 to 55°C (32 to 149°F.)
