MA530, MA560-1, and MA590 adhesives are two-part structural methacrylates that are 100% reactive at room temperature and nonsagging. MA530 has a working time of 30 to 40 min and reaches 75% of ultimate strength in 90 to 160 min. MA560-1 can be worked 55 to 70 min and requires 220 to 240-min fixture time. MA590 has a 90 to 105-min working time and attains 75% of ultimate shear strength in 180 to 240 min.

The adhesives withstand service temperatures of –40 to 180°F. MA530 has a tensile strength of 3,000 to 3,500 psi and a shear strength of 1,900 to 2,200 psi. Its elongates 130 to 170% before break. MA560-1’s tensile strength is 2,500 to 3,000 psi. It withstands up to 2,200 psi in shear. MA590 fails in tension at 2,000 to 2,500 psi and in shear at 1,400 to 1,800 psi. It’s tensile elongation is 130 to 160%.

The products require little surface preparation and dispense manually or with standard meter-mix equipment. The black adhesives can be used with metals, composites, ABS, acrylics, fiber-reinforced polymers, gelcoats, polyesters, PVC, styrenics, and vinyl esters. All three adhesives come in ready-to-use 400-ml cartridges, 5-gallon pails, and 50-gallon drums.
