High-strength titanium fasteners, designed for the aerospace industry, are covered in a four-page brochure

High-strength titanium fasteners, designed for the aerospace industry, are covered in a four-page brochure. The development of titanium fasteners is detailed as well as minimum properties for tensile, shear, and fatigue strength.

Tension bolts made from 761 titanium alloy can be manufactured to 160-ksi tensile strength in ¾ to 1½-in.-diameter sizes. Also available are 180-ksi tensile strength fasteners with 108-ksi shear strength levels in sizes up to 1-in. diameter.
