Harsh environment IP66 motors and gearmotors resist ingress of dust and water to stop premature commutator, brush, and bearing failures

The harsh environment IP66 motors and gearmotors resist ingress of dust and water to stop premature commutator, brush, and bearing failures. A sealed strain relief on the power cord cuts off that intrusion path while O-rings seal between the end bells, motor housing, and through-bolts. The main motor housing comes in powder coat, e-coat, or chromate finish for additional corrosion protection. The ac-induction motors are available in 65, 80, 90, and 100 frame sizes at115 and 230 Vac, permanent-magnet dc motors in frame sizes of 60, 80, or 108 at operating voltage of 12, 24, 130, and 180 Vdc, and a brushless-dc version with frame sizes of 65 and 80 and operating voltages of 12, 24, and 163 Vdc. All units operate over ambient temperatures from –40 to 115°C.
