New Products: Backlash-Free Torque-Limit Couplings

March 3, 2009
SKF-5000 backlash-free torquelimit couplings accommodate more than double the torque of older models

The SKF-5000 backlash-free torquelimit couplings accommodate more than double the torque of older models. Designed using an array of torquelimiting elements, the limiter handles torques to over 4,000 lb-ft. Transmittable and disengagement torque is dependent on the clutch’s OD as well as the number of torque-limiting devices used. Unlike conventional limiters, the SKF-500 can be reengaged through the tightening of screws instead of with a hammer.
