Product Spolight: Subminiature Snap-Action Switch

The V5 (V5S) sealed snapaction switch incorporates long over travel, subminiature size, and customized mounting options in an IP67 fully sealed package. The V5S single- break, changeover switch features 2 mm of plunger overtravel (typically 1.2 mm), offering designers expanded tolerance flexibility and simplified subassembly design integration. The switch can actuate in multidirectional angles up to 45°, eliminating the need for extra levers or arms and reducing costs and overall footprint.

Key to the unit’s compact design (14.7 × 5.4 × 7.5 mm) is the packaging of all SMT components inside the switch housing. Other features include 1-mA to 2-A (5 to 14-V) current ratings, operating temperature of –40 to +194°F, and a 1 million cycle mechanical rating.
