Quint SFB industrialgrade power supplies now feature a 20-A output at 12 Vdc as well as Selective Fuse Breaking (SFB)

The Quint SFB industrialgrade power supplies now feature a 20-A output at 12 Vdc as well as Selective Fuse Breaking (SFB). SFB allows supplemental branch circuit protection on the dc bus to operate as designed in a control system. When a fault condition is sensed, the SFB delivers a short peak of current (up to six times nominal current) to the faulted load to ensure the standard branch protection interrupts the circuit as designed. Power continues to be delivered to the other loads for overall system availability. An additional benefit of the SFB’s staticpower reserves is reliable starting of heavy loads with high inrush currents.
