The Model PMT320 linear stage features ±1-micron repeatability, excellent straightness run-out accuracy, and 600 to 1,500-mm travel distances.

The Model PMT320 linear stage features ±1-micron repeatability, excellent straightness run-out accuracy, and 600 to 1,500-mm travel distances. The 1,000-mm-stroke stage weighs 70 kg, and has a 320-mm-wide die-cast base.

Two drive options are available for the stage: a servolinear or dc-rotary motor with precision-ground ball screw. A linear encoder provides position feedback and, depending on the drive chosen, maximum acceleration is 5 m/sec² and maximum speed is 500 mm/sec². Size 25 precision linear-profile rails provide linear guidance for a load capacity of 500 kg. Flatness and straightness run-out is ±2 microns over any 100-mm travel.
