The MotorTEC STPe v1.5 program, a free download from the Groschopp site (www.groschopp.com), calculates speed, torque, and power. STPe v1.5 lets engineers and product designers calculate operating costs based upon electrical consumption. The STP update provides entry of hours, days, weeks to estimate annual hours used; a link to the Energy Information Administration to determine electrical rates for U.S. locations; energy costs are calculated at multiple efficiencies; and printouts have been updated to reflect all the new information.
