A line of cam-operated couplings come in four materials: glass-fiber-reinforced nylon, industrial-grade glass-fiber-reinforced polypropylene, PVDF, and food-grade polypropylene. All four materials offer similar performance properties including light weight, high impact strength, and resistance to acids and solvents.

Benefits of each material include: nylon (yellow) resists corrosion and handles 175-psi working pressures; industrial-grade polypropylene (black) has a higher degree of acid resistance than nylon and, like nylon, is electrically nonconductive; PVDF, or polyvinylidene fluoride, (translucent) is made from FDA-approved ingredients, handles temperatures as high as 300°F, and will self-extinguish; PVDF couplings withstand sterilization by autoclave, ethylene oxide, or gamma radiation, and are UV and acid resistant; and food-grade polypropylene (white) resists animal, vegetable, and mineral oils, salts, alkalis, and alcohols.
The couplings feature EPDM gaskets, 304L stainless-steel handles, and 302 stainless-steel pins. Types include A, B, C, D, E, F, DP, and DC, and they’re available in sizes ranging from ¼ through 4 in.
