The Gen2 electromagnetic packaged clutch/brake UniModule is designed for heavy-duty conveyor applications.

The Gen2 electromagnetic packaged clutch/brake UniModule is designed for heavy-duty conveyor applications. A new, larger bearing provides a 47% increase in dynamic load. A redesigned armature and spline hub offers an 83% increase in spline length, resulting in a 44% decrease in spline-compressive stress. Two assembled, preburnished, heavy-duty UniModules are offered for 143/145TC NEMA frame, up to 2 hp.

Standard features include internal component mounting; an external housing-fin design increases heat dissipation and optimizes stop/start frequencies; an improved input-to-output axis alignment reduces vibration, noise, and wear; and integrated, custom mounting bolts let the conduit box be located on top of the unit for more consistent orientation.
