A virtual job fair — specifically for engineers — is available now through November 30. The fair is the second phase of the “No Engineer Left Behind” program sponsored by Fisher/Unitech, Troy, Mich., a software reseller. The company is collaborating with 6Connex to make more than 800 jobs available leveraging the 6Connex Virtual Experience Platform. No Engineer Left Behind was a six-month program that provided free SolidWorks 3D CAD training, software licenses, and internship opportunities to more than 260 displaced engineers throughout the Midwest. There is no charge to either exhibitors or attendees who visit the fair.

Job seekers will find more than 25 companies such as GE Lumination, Nook Industries, Utilimaster, Haworth, SolidWorks Corp., and SPX among the exhibitors looking to hire. An entire hall is dedicated to the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), with over 800 job listings and professional development resources. Candidates can log on to the virtual job fair any time and visit company booths loaded with corporate videos, audio files, PowerPoint presentations, white papers, and more, in addition to viewing job openings.

Live chat days will be held October 15 and November 12 when booth representatives will be online to answer questions and accept resumes online via chat sessions. A career development hall details how displaced workers can apply for grant money to advance skills through education and training. The fair also features a technology pavilion that showcases SolidWorks 3D CAD software and a variety of other products. The job fair can be accessed at http://funtech.veplatform.com.
