OMAC symposium explores system evolution

The second annual OMAC (Organization for Machine Automation and Control) Integration Symposium will be held December 3 to 4 at the Partners in THINC facility in Charlotte, N.C. Presentations will focus on Total System Evolution: Emerging Technologies for the Advancement of Machine Automation and Control. Highlights will include discussions on MES, PML, robotics, and plug-and-play with hands-on demonstrations and networking opportunities. Representatives will speak on behalf of Okuma, ABB Robotics, ChipBlaster, Caron Engineering, Gosiger Automation, O3neida, P&G, GE Fanuc, and PTP Advanced Manufacturing Cluster. Formed in 1994, OMAC is comprised of three working groups: Machine Tool, Packaging Machinery, and Manufacturing Infrastructure.
