A new motion system combines an actuator with standard aluminum track and carriers to form a flexible transport solution for assembly automation. Called the MagneMover Shuttle the unit from MagneMotion Inc., Acton, Mass. features a high-speed line-to-line transfer shuttle that allows for system layout alternatives such as lane switching and tight pallet/part return paths that save floor space.
