The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) Foundation, Chicago, appointed Phyllis Russell to executive director. She is responsible for all aspects of the Foundation's management, including implementing its missions, goals, and objectives and overseeing fundraising and relationship development in support of the Industrial Careers Pathway (ICP). The ICP links students to career paths in industrial distribution through partnerships with local educators and employers.

Prior to joining the PTDA Foundation, Russell served as chief executive director of Work, Welfare & Families: An Illinois Coalition Working to End Poverty. In addition, she served in several leadership positions at the United Way of Rock River Valley in Rockford, Ill., reaching the top staff position of president.
