THK America Inc., Schaumburg Ill., and Yaskawa Electric, Waukegan, Ill., have formed a strategic alliance to offer a complete motion control package. The alliance will fuse THK's high-performance VLA series of linear actuators with Yaskawa's Legend servo amp and controller and its Sigma II servomotors.

VLA actuators use an LM guide, with fewer components and lower overall cost. They incorporate caged technology, a QZ lubricator, and electromechanical components for long life and smooth, quiet operation. VLAs are available in slides and cylinders to replace pneumatic cylinders.

Legend Wizard software setup is easy to use, with text-based questions quickly and efficiently generating program code for fast motion.
