The International Society of Automation (ISA) announces that industry experts, including Charlie Cutler, Béla Lipták, Greg McMillan, Russ Rhinehart, and Terry Tolliver will lead a 90-minute general session, The Present and Future of Automation Worldwide, during ISA Automation Week 2011, to be held October 17 to 20 in Mobile, Ala. Other topics to be covered include how advanced PID features can improve efficiency and profitability for sustainable manufacturing, what knowledge is essential for advancing the use automation, and how automation professionals will play a critical role in developing future technology.

ISA Automation Week includes three days of sessions, a dedicated Technician Day, standards briefings, networking events, and an exhibit floor. ARC Advisory Group, Dedham Mass., will host a mini-ARC Forum focusing on the automation market outlook and business strategies for 2012 and beyond. From 10 to 11:30 a.m. on October 18, analysts will present market research and recommendations to help companies compete in competitive global markets.
