Assess creep and fatigue damage

Oct. 6, 2005
fe-safe/TURBOlife incorporates creep-fatigue damage assessment into durability-analysis software for FE models.

The software is aimed at new component design or life-extension analyses. Examples include power-station gas turbines and boilers typically operating beyond their design bases and automotive engine components typically running hotter than in the past. The software distinguishes between crack-initiation hotspots by creep, fatigue, or creep-fatigue interactions and produces creep-fatigue contour maps.
