Battery-Current Sensors

Twenty-five models comprise the DHAB family of dual-range current sensors that offer nonintrusive, galvanically isolated options for automotive applications.
Sept. 28, 2006

A DHAB Hall-effect sensor, fixed onto a car's battery cable, has two cores that allow it to be used for two separate current ranges — 20 to 80 A and 50 and 600 A. This allows full-range current measurements to be taken along with highly accurate measurements at lower currents. The sensors have a sealed housing and come n panel and cable-mount versions.
