Gore announces cable study results

W. L. Gore & Associates Inc., Landenberg, Pa., announces the results of a cable particulation study it contracted with the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA, Stuttgart, Germany. Fraunhofer reports the following ISO 14644-1 cleanroom certifications: GORE trackless cable: Class 1; Low-vibration chain with GORE high flex flat cables: Class 1; Conventional chain with GORE high flex flat cables: Class 5; and Conventional chain with round cables: Class 4. CENTA moves to larger facility

CENTA Corp., Westmont, Ill., has moved to a new facility in Aurora, Ill., with more than 23,000 sq. ft for office, warehouse, and manufacturing, and assembly space. Minarik, Assembléon partner on installation

The nine-year partnership between Minarik Drives, South Beloit, Ill., and Assembléon, Alpharetta, Ga., moves forward with the first U.S. installation of the new MC-1 SMT (surface mount technology) pick-and-place equipment. The equipment combines a high mix capability with accurate chip and IC shooting, making it one of the most versatile pick and place machines on the market. The MC-1 fits in the same footprint as the previous Assembléon machines, allowing fast installation with no additional expenditures for electrical or air supply requirements. The new MC1 machines are linked to a server network for more accurate data management as well as the ability to release new product designs to the manufacturing floor in real time and with greater accuracy. WAGO offers free add-on instructions

WAGO Corp., Germantown, Wis., offers free add-on instructions for Allen-Bradley RS-Logix 5000, allowing users of the PLC to easily implement control logic that supports the functionality of WAGO-IO-System distributed I/O modules. The instructions let customers readily adapt standard analog, digital, and specialty module I/O functions into ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and DriveLogix controllers. Integration of the instructions into RS-Logix 5000 software (version 16 and up) is straightforward: Use the import feature, select the proper file, and insert it into existing PLC code.
