The E5GN temperature controller accepts universal temperature sensor inputs (thermocouples and platinum RTDs), and the E5GN-L Series accepts analog inputs to support process control applications.

The E5GN temperature controller accepts universal temperature sensor inputs (thermocouples and platinum RTDs), and the E5GN-L Series accepts analog inputs to support process control applications. The unit’s 1/32-DIN housing measures 48 × 24 mm.
The controller features a large, easy-to-read color display that can be configured to alternate between showing SV/PV and controller status messages, including alarms, and can be switched between three colors to provide an instant visual indication of an alarm condition.

The controllers come with universal inputs for use with Pt sensors and thermocouples, or inputs compatible with standard ac and voltage signals. The controllers have an indication accuracy of ±0.3% when used with thermocouples, and ±0.2% for all other input types.

The unit’s sampling period and loop update time has been halved to 250 msec. The controller now has heater-burnout alarms and event inputs, as well as provision for two independent alarm outputs.
