Cut-to-Length Machines

June 2, 2005
FGW cut-to-length machines fit any converting or material-handling situation.

The compact units, designed for low to moderate volumes, reduce cost by eliminating the need to hand cut or inventory cut material. Several models, in sizes from 4 to 39 in., handle flexible films, foils, textiles, paper, Velcro, laminates, and composites. They come in bench models or with portable adjustable stands, and can be driven by a stepper or servomotor. The unit features all-ball-bearing construction, digital controls, selfadjusting knife assembly, and hardened tool-steel blades. The FGW accommodates modular punching, slitter stations, no-product sensors, jam sensors, eye registration, and static eliminators.
