Delphi Multec Fuel Injection Let Small Engines Use Less Fuel and Reduce Emissions

Delphi Multec fuel injection let small engines use less fuel and reduce emissions.

The Multec Fuel Injection system from Delphi Corp. (www.delphi.com), Troy, Mich., lets engine and motorcycle manufacturers meet power and fuel-consumption targets while reducing exhaust and evaporative emissions. Installing the system’s matched components reduces fuel consumption by 10 to 15% and engine starts and performance are more reliable over a wider range of environmental conditions (temperature and altitude), compared to carbureted engines. The system’s electronic governor provides steady, accurate speed control and has less governor droop and hunt than a mechanical governor. The system is suitable for one and two-cylinder gas and flex-fuel engines in the 10 to 30-hp range.
