Durable Epoxy Takes 650°F

Duralco 4700HT withstands temperatures to 650°F and pressures of 20 kpsi. The twocomponent epoxy cures at 250°F (without outgassing) and has tensile and lap shear strengths of 11.1 and 2.1 kpsi (at 400°F), respectively.

Thermal conductivity is 13-Btu in./hr°F ft2 and volume resistivity is 1016 Ω-cm. Typical applications include sealing electrical feed thrus against heat and moisture, repairing cracks in pipes carrying hot 482°F oil at 1 kpsi, and installing thermocouples, strain gages, and flowmeters that will see elevated temperatures.
