Top is sloped down 20° so water runs off and no one places objects on top of enclosure. 1.5° sloped door flange promotes run-off and prevents leakage.
Optional leg kits raise enclosure off the floor to facilitate complete washdowns and come in fixed and adjustable models to accommodate sloped floors. (Optional 1 and 6-in. stainless-steel wall standoff kits minimize contact between wall and wall-mounted enclosures while providing support).
Bullet-style hinges lift off for easy cleaning inside and out. Door edge cutouts enable washdowns to clean hinges. Smooth #4 finish provides maximum surface run-off.Foam-in-place gasket eliminates seams and resists high-pressure washdowns. UL 4X latches provide tight seals
Equipment in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing plants must withstand daily washdowns to maintain sanitary conditions, and so do the enclosures holding electronics and controls. The enclosures must also prevent water from pooling and creating a breeding ground for bacteria. That's why Hoffman, Anoka, Minn. (www.hoffmanonline.com), designed its Watershed line of enclosures. The stainless-steel wall and floor-mounted enclosures facilitate washdowns while protecting sensitive electronics. There are 36 standard models in a variety of sizes available. Floor-mounted models can be equipped with or without disconnect provisions.
