Fine Screens

Nov. 4, 2004
Screens made by photoetching are said to be burr-free with high tolerance holes and dimensional stability.
MicroEtch screens target applications requiring frequent cleaning or where there is mechanical contact. The fixed openings will not change through use. Photoetching lets designers specify a tapered hole that helps liquid filtration and backflow cleaning. Hole sizes begin at 0.003 in. and go up. These screens are primarily produced from stainless steel, but other materials are available. The standard line of screens come with holes in a 60 or 90° pattern with a maximum guaranteed perforated area of 183 21 in. Other sizes and custom shapes are available.
