Fuel-Resistant Nanocomposites

Hyperier, a nanocomposite, hyper-barrier resin, resists solvents, water, and fuels.

The material serves in automobile fuel tanks, small off-road engines, and lawn and garden equipment, as well as containers for food, cosmetics, and pesticides. In contrast to conventional barrier materials with hard to process and costly multilayer constructions from a number of resins, Hyperier nanocomposites have better barrier properties and can be used as a single layer. This reduces processing problems and lowers cost.
