Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Rods

Jan. 12, 2006
Vectra Bs are 30% glass-fiber-reinforced polymer rods for mechanical and electronic components and for replacing stainless steel in medical applications.

Compared to unreinforced versions, the rods provide better dimensional stability, higher tensile strength and modulus, and higher compressive strength. They come in 10.7-mm and 13.7-mm diameters.
