Multilayer, 3128 Hochdruck, graphite gaskets reportedly offer better handling and greater safety than metal-inserted graphite sheets. They are said to handle higher pressures than standard graphite gaskets, thanks to reduced load loss and better torque retention. They seal reliably under moderate bolt load and pressure fluctuations. These properties make them candidates for spiral wound and Kammprofile gaskets. They are also easy to die cut.
