Ironless Linear Motors

Oct. 20, 2005
The M50 Series of ironless linear motors have a cross section of 50 155 mm, the largest ironless motor this manufacturer has ever offered.

The M50 motor is optimized to provide high forces with minimum moving mass, specifically for applications demanding high continuous accelerations of relatively light payloads as in die sorting, high-speed pick and place, injection mold loading/unloading, and textile weaving. Peak forces from 847 to 3811 N (190 to 857 lb) and continuous forces from 189 to 852 N (43 to 192 lb) are available from coils weighing 0.7 to 3.3 kg (1.6 to 7.2 lb). Features include a connector module incorporating commutation sensors home and overtravel limit sensors, modular magnet tracks for unlimited travel lengths, and plastic spacers between the magnets for a flush surface.
