Low-Light, 12-Bit Camera

May 24, 2007
The 12-bit Sensicam camera uses the most recent electron multiplication CCD sensors, which lets users ignore readout noise.

Resolution is 1,004 X 1,002 pixel, thermoelectrical cooling of the image sensor (down to –45°C vs. ambient) and a quantum efficiency up to 65%) give the camera spectral sensitivity in general and especially in near IR region. Exposure time modes (software selectable) range from 75 sec to 1 hr. A high-speed serial data link connects the system to a PC.
