Multichannel Converters

April 26, 2007
The AD57xx family of multichannel digital-to-analog converters (DACs) includes 12 converters ranging from 12 to 16-bit dual and quad-channel devices that operate over a wide voltage range on either single supply voltages of 4.5 to 16.5 V or dual supply voltages of ±4.5 to ±1.65 V.

The DACs feature software-programmable, unipolar and bipolar voltage output ranges of 5, 10, ±5, and ±10 V plus an over-range setting that can be independently set per channel. The main component of the family is the 16-bit monotonic AD5754R, which has a 0.1% (maximum) TUE accuracy level and includes a precision 5-ppm/°C internal reference. Features of the DACs include a 30-MHz serial-peripheral interface, power-on reset, per-channel power-down mode, hardware LDAC and CLR functionality, and an on-chip programmable precision output amplifier for rail-to-rail output swing.
