NETWORK BRIDGE

and a specific command set for adding wireless 802 connections to products with built-in serial interfaces. The module is a multiprotocol serial-to-802.11b bridge in a small form factor. It supports serial-interface protocols that include RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 at baud rates from 300 to 921.4 kbps. It also handles both full or half duplex mode and hardware and software flow control. A built-in Web server displays serial-interface configuration, baud rates, network, and wirelesscommunications parameters on a Web browser. An on-board communication processor includes a full TCP/IP protocol stack, eliminating the need for network software in the host system. The module supports single antenna and dual diversity antenna operation and meets industrial temperature specifications.
