New Product: Magnetic Gripper

June 5, 2008
The Magnos MAU magnetic gripper for robots handles ferromagnetic workpieces.

Its electropermanent magnets activate in seconds. In the event of a power outage, the grippers continue to hold because electricity is only needed to activate and deactivate the magnets.

The gripper has a 50 50-mm pole size for flexibility and its holding force per hole with a 0-mm air gap is 380 da/N, with a 20-sec cycle time.
