Nonstick Ceramics

Nanolayer Fluoropolymer xR treatment gives a "Teflon-like" surface to aluminum oxide, zirconia, and other engineering ceramics.

The fluoropolymer plasma bonds into the ceramic surface sealing microvoids and reducing surface energy for improved friction and wear. It also boosts release properties so parts are less prone to sticking and seizing. The fluoropolymer is USP CL VI biocompatible.
