According to IMS Research, Austin, Texas, the world PLC market is showing signs of growth. The market was hit hard by the global recession during 2009, but has experienced a slight recovery in 2010. According to the latest edition of The World Market for PLCs from IMS, the global PLC market was estimated at $6.3 billion in 2009 and is forecast to increase by $0.6 billion in 2010. However, revenues are not forecast to return to 2008 levels until 2012.
