Shock-Absorbing Microbumpers

March 17, 2005
TecsPak microbumpers are made from a thermoplastic elastomer reportedly 10 X more durable than rubber and 20 X tougher than urethane equivalents.

The bumpers are said to offer higher kinetic energy absorption than competitive alternatives and retain original performance parameters over millions of cycles. They feature a performance/mass ratio that makes them ideal for mechanisms requiring small size and low weight. They come in a range of sizes with rated energy capacities of 20 to 9,4000 in.-lb (2.2 to 12,700 N-m).
