Simulation for Catia

May 19, 2005
SimDesigner 2005r2 for Catia V5R14 is a suite of V5-embedded simulation programs that let CAD users simulate motion, stress, fatigue, heat transfer, and other physical performance attributes of parts and subsystems.

Features include generative products, which embeds simulation capabilities directly into Catia V5. This provides access to software such as MSC.Nastran, MSC.Adams, and LS-Dyna. Features include SimDesignerSuspension for flexible parts that are now incorporated into suspension designs. It lets design engineers get more realistic results by taking a part's compliance into account during suspension-travel simulations. Motion Load Transfer lets users investigate component stresses from operating motions. Fatigue lets users enhance product durability predictions by including transient stress time histories of flexible components in the operating simulations.
