Universal Alignment Kit

Oct. 21, 2004
Maintenance personnel and production teams can check and align their machine tools to improve operation and efficiency with the Microgage Universal Alignment kit.

UNIVERSAL ALIGNMENT KIT

The system is reportedly intuitive to use for quick and precise measurements of machinery and rail straightness, parallelism, surface flatness, and other alignments. The kit consists of a laser transmitter and digital receiver connected to a handheld display. Alignment units are displayed on a large LCD display in 0.001 or 0.0001-in. increments or in millimeters. An interface cable permits uploading to a laptop or PC for analysis. The kit's rotating base allows for setting and checking flat planes such as machine beds, roller assemblies, sliding mechanical stages, and other planar equipment. A precise 90° beam bender is used for squaring machinery, checking the vertical axis of machine tools, and monitoring parallelism of rails, tracks, and rollers. A heavy-duty tripod supports the laser and several mounting fixtures for versatility on the plant floor. The entire kit fits into a compact carrying case for easy storage and transport.
