The nickel-plated zinc quick-disconnect couplings from Colder Products Co., St. Paul (colder.com), the ZLC Series, are targeted at applications that don’t need expensive materials or cumbersome features. The die-cast ZLC couplings are interchangeable with the company’s acetal PLC couplings, polypropylene PLC-12 Series, and chrome-plated brass LC Series.

The new device resists gas, ink, air, water, and many other fluids. It weighs less than comparable couplings and operates in temperatures from 10 to 150°F. It can be panel mounted or used as an in-line component with appropriate terminations, including hose barbs and pipe threads.
