The VLT Automation VT drives are specifically engineered to save energy, reduce up front and operating costs, and maximize uptime in industrial variable-torque fan, pump, blower, and compressor applications

The VLT Automation VT drives are specifically engineered to save energy, reduce up front and operating costs, and maximize uptime in industrial variable-torque fan, pump, blower, and compressor applications. The drives are available for 240 and 480-Vac single and three-phase, or 575 and 690-Vac three-phase operation with ½ up to 1,400 hp.

The drive’s Smart Logic Controller eliminates ancillary equipment to reduce installed costs, and main disconnects. Additional features include integral fusing that reduces installation cost by reducing panel-space requirements; dedicated pump functions that simplify programming and commissioning, and an optional one-wire Safe Stop reduces costs for applications with safe operation requirements.

All VT Drives have an integrated dc link to eliminate the need for external filters, along with intelligent heat management to remove excessive heat and promote maximum drive operating life. The drive’s ambient temperature rating of 50°C without derating eliminates the need for expensive cooling add-ons.
