The CAP-100 Series capacitive liquid-level sensors provide accurate level sensing through the walls of plastic, glass, and fiberglass bottles. The sensors are suitable for medical applications such as waste, reagent, buffer, or diluent as well as dark, sticky, or viscous fluids. For vessels containing biohazardous liquids, level monitoring is conducted from outside the sealed container. The easy-to-calibrate sensors are available in both aqueous and nonaqueous versions, and can be used as proximity sensors to detect the presence of solids.
The noncontact/nonintrusive sensor works on nonmetallic reservoirs or bottles with wall thicknesses to 0.39-in. (10-mm) thick. The sensor supports aqueous or nonaqueous liquid detection, with a choice of wet or dry-sink switch actuation.
The units have IP67 protection and incorporate LED signal and power indicators with a potentiometer for sensitivity-field adjustments.
