Bluetooth Transmitter Delivers Sensor Info to Smartphones

March 6, 2015

Omega’s UWBT Bluetooth transmitters record sensor data and send it directly to a smartphone or tablet. Information from several transmitters can be viewed simultaneously in a digital, gauge, or graphical display, and then shared in emails or saved to the Cloud. The free UWBT app, available for Android or iOS devices, can log and monitor data from thermocouple, RDT, relative humidity/temperature, and pH/temperature sensors.

The handheld transmitter, with its temperature reading resolution of 0.1°F, will log up to 10 samples per second . Wireless range is line of sight and 150 ft. for Android tablets and phones, 120 ft. for iOS tablets, and 30 ft. for iOS smartphones. Transmitters can also connect via USB to a PC to configure data, download logged data, read live sensor data from the transmitter, and upgrade the UWBT firmware.
